Afrofusion with Yeni Lucero is the KKDE company community dance class that empowers the individual to own their movement expression through the lens of Afro-Dance; Afrobeats, Afrohouse, Amapiano, Traditional West African Dance along with Contemporary (Dunham/Limon) & Hip-Hop.  Ms. Lucero begins with a rich slow warm up followed by drills/ and footwork across the floor.  Movement that introduces the student to the choreography they are learning.  Ms. Lucero focuses on the delivery of content, a connection of mind and body.  In addition takes time to explain and deliver the origin of the dances she is fusing so there’s contextual mindfulness and respect to African Dance.  This class is INT/ADV but beginners are welcome to try. Ms. Lucero has taught all levels and know how to deliver to all learners.
