KKDE  is committed to representing a range of ages, body-types, and movement styles and strives to inform audiences about various social issues.

​The Ensemble creates and presents dance works that build upon a wide array of dance genres, including a fusion of modern dance with movement from African, Brazilian, and North Indian cultures.

Black Choreographers Festival: Here and Now strives to serve the community through providing a forum to increase the visibility of African American dance.

​Understanding the impact and importance of the African and African American experience in dance, this project aims to recognize the ingenuity and uniqueness of African and African American Choreographers.

*BCF is co-presented by K*STAR*PRODUCTIONS and the African and African-American Performing Arts Coalition (AAAPAC).
